Ranexa (ranolazine) is een anti-anginal medicatie. Het werkt door het verbeteren van de doorbloeding zodat het hart efficiënter werken. Ranolazine wordt gebruikt voor de behandeling van chronische angina pectoris (pijn op de borst). Ranolazine is niet voor gebruik tijdens een acute (nood) aanval van angina pectoris.

Betapace wordt gebruikt voor de behandeling van een ernstige (mogelijk levensbedreigende) vorm van snelle hartslag die aanhoudende ventriculaire tachycardie wordt genoemd. Het wordt ook gebruikt voor de behandeling van bepaalde snelle / onregelmatige hartslagen (atriumfibrilleren/flutter) bij patiënten met ernstige symptomen zoals zwakte en kortademigheid. Sotalol helpt om deze symptomen te verminderen. Het vertraagt de hartslag en helpt het hart om normaler en regelmatiger te kloppen.
