Generic Asacol is used for treating and causing remission of various forms of mild to moderate ulcerative colitis (inflammation of the colon).

Canasa(Mesalamine affects) een stof in het lichaam waardoor diarree, ontstekingen en weefselbeschadiging. Rectale Mesalamine wordt gebruikt voor de behandeling van colitis ulcerosa en proctitis proctosigmoiditis. Mesalamine wordt ook gebruikt om te voorkomen dat de symptomen van colitis ulcerosa terugkerende.
